Are You Planning for Tomorrow, Today?

Steps to Create a Viable Succession Plan for Your Business

In partnership with Moss Adams

Successful family business leaders must have a strong focus on growth in today’s competitive global market. But as owners, how do you ensure that your hard-earned growth survives the transition to the next generation? The purpose of the seminar is to provide guests with valuable guidance on the transfer of family wealth and planning their estate with wisdom and forethought.

A new financial sub-discipline of “inheritance planning” is emerging as the last step of retirement planning for Baby Boomers. The owners of family and closely held businesses face their own unique challenges including succession planning and handling family dynamics in the workplace. How can wealth be transferred successfully without destroying the recipient and the wealth itself?

It is a question for the times, as the greatest generation of wealth creators move toward death in record numbers.

In this seminar, Dr. Tom Deans discusses the 7 questions you need to ask to guide the giving decisions you make in your Will. The answers to these questions will help you determine whether your gifts will release potential or destroy it for your beneficiaries. In a busy world where conversations about life, death, and wealth are often avoided, Dr. Tom Deans will confidently guide attendees in a brave new direction.

On hand to guide participants through a processing for beginning and/or moving forward with their succession/exit plan is Sid Tobiasan, Senior Tax Advisor, Moss Adams. Sid’s presentation will cover:

  • Governance,
  • Senior Management and Board of Directors Key Steps,
  • Funding The Exit, and
  • Taxes, Agreements, and Documentation
