Larry Miller

Larry began his Supermarket career in 1969. Starting as a bagger/cashier he was promoted to store manager, district manager, director of operations and vice president of operations for such companies as A&P, Pantry Pride Stores of South Florida, Fisher Foods of Cleveland, Ohio, and Metro Markets of Dayton, Ohio. Larry has also owned and operated his own stores.

For the last 25 years, Larry has been the leading researcher into the causes and cures of retail shrink in supermarkets and convenience stores and a clear leader in developing store operations excellence best practices.

Larry may be best known as the founder, president, and creator of Shrink Trax, the industry’s premier software program for cashier theft prevention & productivity improvement, The Total Store Manager and Customer Service Excellence programs and the ProfitTrax Program for Store Operations Excellence.

He’s also the Director of the National Supermarket Research Group, co-author of the “Cornel University Manager’s Guide to Loss Prevention Best Practices”, author of 3 books, countless special HOW-TO reports and over 60 published articles on loss prevention and store operations control.

Larry’s Best Practices have been taught to over 18,000 store managers…and have been implemented in more than 900 companies in 6 countries.
